Certificate Administration
Simplified Compliance. To ensure your compliance with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Primary PhysicianCare provides complete HIPAA certificate administration. These services include identifying employees and dependents whose coverage has terminated and generating corresponding HIPAA Certificates of Creditable Coverage. In addition, we generate HIPAA certificates upon request.
For plans with preexisting condition limitations, we initiate contact each new plan participant, obtain the HIPAA Certificate of Creditable Coverage from his previous plan, and calculate the amount of creditable coverage each person should have. Finally, this information is passed onto the appropriate claims vendor.
Privacy Notices
Commitment to Service. Primary PhysicianCare ensures your compliance with Privacy Notice regulations as part of our HIPAA administration. We continue this service by generating Reminder Notices of Privacy Practices, which are required every 3 years. These notices are created for our members at the proper intervals for automatic and/or manual distribution. Privacy Notices are another example of our commitment to fully-integrated service.
