Information Systems

Superior Information Technology

Care Management System. Primary PhysicianCare has developed a software platform called the Care Management System which services the medical records system for our Disease Management services. This system stores all member information including demographics, diagnoses, risk scores, and compliance data. It documents both telephone and nurse interventions through disease-specific checklists as well as provides scheduling and follow-up checklists for our nurses. Central to the system is the Health Dashboard: a screen that shows all claims data, Rx history, HRA data, and lab results for the member.

Convenient Member Access

Portable Health Record. It is important for our members to have comprehensive access to their health information. For this reason, we have designed the healthgram Portable Health Record. This secure website stores health information collected during our HRAs, Screenings, Wellness, and DM programs. It also contains a database of diseases and conditions, test results, demographics, and lifestyle metrics. Members are able to access their medical claims histories, prescription drug histories, flex claims and balances. Finally, the healthgram Portable Health Record features relevant health articles, videos, and current health news.

Powerful Support

Enhanced Technology. Primary PhysicianCare incorporates the use of a specialized information system, PowerMHS, to further enhance our self-developed technologies. Benchmarked to support tens of millions of members, PowerMHS is a multi-company, multi-option, multi-fund system, created to handle complex benefit structures, complicated provider reimbursement arrangements, integrated utilization management and intelligent claims processing.

Data Security

Multiple Data Centers. Information collected by and used by Primary PhysicianCare is stored at two geographically distinct data centers: The Poindexter Data Center in Kansas City, MO, and the Winchester Data Center in Raytown, MO. These facilities feature dual-feed commercial power supplies, self-contained power plants, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), fail over generator systems, raised floors, fire-detection/suppression systems, and controlled environments. They provide 24/7 operations support, are monitored by bonded security guards, and require a combination of electronic ID cards and biometric access systems to access critical areas.
